Prayer for the Riverside Centre

Following the Holy Spirit’s prompting we, as a church, are ensuring that there is continually prayer in preparation for the meeting with the council planning board.

As we each spend an hour praying the Lord will speak to us – whether it be prophecy, words of knowledge, words of wisdom, or words of edification. This web page gives a place for you to write down what the Lord is saying during your time of prayer so that the rest of the church can benefit.

So please use this page by frequently reading what Jesus is saying to us over the next few weeks, and by adding to this page by using the “comment form” at the bottom.

This year will be a time of unprecedented expansion.”

Do not be afraid of discouraged for the battle is not your’s but God’s.
You will not have to fight this battle.
Take up your positions, stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you.
Go out and face them and the Lord will be with you.
Now, sing to the Lord and praise Him for the splendour of His holiness.

They kept singing “give thanks to the Lord, for His faithful love endures forever”.

Rose Allsup from 2 Chronicles 20.

If you want some worship songs whilst praying then don’t forget to use:
    or the ‘songs’ page under the ‘categories’ link on the menu bar above;
or try going to and type an artist like Chris Tomlin into the search bar at the top of the page and then click on ‘play Chris Tomlin radio’.

When praying i was reminded of Joshua marching around the walls of jericho praising God before the walls came tumbling down – felt that part of our role during this contiual prayer is to be declaring the greatness and power of our God, focusing on who he is and praising him that these walls (on all fronts – parking, money, etc) will come tumbling down.

Also felt it was important to pray protection and blessing on matt and his family so that he can walk into that meeting standing tall – matt, i had a picture of a torch shining into dark corners of a room, and felt that God would give you spiritual discernment so that you could see into people’s hearts and minds and know what the real issues were and then be able to speak bodly and with understanding.

When I was praying, the Spirit gave me this song:
I will trust in the strength of the King
I will trust in the love of my God
For the battle is the Lord’s
    The battle is the Lord’s

  7. Helen Granger says:

Not by might, not by power but by my SPIRIT says God
